Wondering: Are you getting more comfortable with the precious enunciation and soothing FM Voice of the head of the CDC, Dr. Tom Frieden, as he gives yet another evasive answer – coupled with an ongoing sociopolitical lecture – to all questions regarding Ebola? Are you now satisfied that, as the doctor assures, we are doing everything possible and there is no need for a travel ban and there is no significant threat to America’s health and safety? Are you relaxed, now that you know we are taking temperatures of international passengers at airports? Are you ashamed of yourself for worrying about the impact of our totally open borders upon the odds of a general Ebola outbreak in this country? Are you embarrassed for considering that the Ebola scare might be something other than just another racist, right-wing propaganda device? Are you OK with our government borrowing still more billions from China (or just printing the additional dollars ourselves) in order to treat Africa rather than protect America?
I do feel better knowing that we’re doing everything possible to import a deadly virus into this country while refusing to address an out of control terrorist army in the Middle East. Our president is so out of touch, while espousing ever new liberal non sequiturs, that it could cause the casual observer to question whether he isn’t still offing on the devil weed. The remedy to this problem begins in less than 30 days.
